The Account
Walmart at Lopez Negrete Communications wasn't just a client. It was one of the most complex accounts in Hispanic advertising — a national retailer with multiple business units, five agency partners, and a continuous production cycle across broadcast and digital. My job was to make sure nothing fell through the cracks.
What I Did
As the client-facing lead on day-to-day operations, managed the relationship between Walmart and a roster of partner agencies — Publicis North America, Burrell Communications, FCB Chicago, Deutsch LA, and Haworth Media — coordinating project requests, timelines, budgets, and deliverables across all of them. Over three years, I contributed to 15 productions spanning brand, grocery pickup, health & wellness, seasonal, and Walmart+, supporting client presentations and keeping campaigns on brief and on schedule.
What I Learned
Operating at this scale taught me something that still shapes how I work: strategy only matters if the execution supports it. Being close to production, media, and the client simultaneously gave me a clear-eyed view of where ideas break down and how to prevent it. This is where I built the foundation for everything that came after.
